The GOCCOS was founded in Ontario as a non-profit corporation that strives to promote public awareness and the effective delivery of manual osteopathic care within the Province of Ontario. Through print media and this website, the GOCCOS strives to provide its members and the general public useful information on OMP.

The GOCCOS provides the public with a listing of qualified practitioners who uphold the Code of Professional Practice and Conduct of the General Osteopathic Council of Canada (GOCC), which is expected of it's members.

Founded by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still (1828 – 1917), the science of Osteopathic Manual Practice (OMP) has earned a reputation throughout the world as an alternative to Chiropractic care.
